Managing multiple projects and constantly juggling tasks? With Microsoft Power Automate, you can set up workflows to handle repetitive tasks automatically. For instance, you could create a flow that saves email attachments directly to a specific folder in OneDrive, sends you a notification when a new file is added, and updates a shared project tracker in Microsoft Teams. This way, you spend less time on manual tasks and more time focusing on what really matters, making your daily work smoother and more efficient.

Examples of Power Automate Use Cases

Automate Email Sorting

Set up a flow to automatically categorize incoming emails by project and forward them to the respective team folders. This reduces the time spent manually sorting emails and ensures that important messages are directed to the right people.

Data Entry Automation

Use Power Automate to transfer data from emails or forms directly into a SharePoint List or other data storage location. This eliminates the need for manual data entry, reducing errors and saving time.

Task Notifications

Set up a flow to send notifications to your team when a new task is assigned in Microsoft Planner. This ensures everyone is aware of their responsibilities and can start working on tasks promptly.

Document Approval Process

Streamline your document approval process by creating a flow that routes documents to the appropriate approvers and sends notifications when approvals are needed. This keeps the process moving smoothly and ensures timely approvals.

Send Reminders for Administrative Deadlines

Create a workflow that sends automated reminders to faculty and staff about upcoming administrative deadlines, such as grant applications or report submissions. This helps ensure that important tasks are completed on time.
